School Awards

Awards ceremony is an opportunity for the school to acknowledge students whose activities have represented the school in a positive way throughout the year.

 

Categories of Achievements:   

Sports- Boy & Girl – Awards x 2

 “This award is presented to the students who are deemed to have made the biggest contribution to sports in the school this year. These students will have personified the values of team work, honest endeavour and have striven to do their best, at all times. This award will go to the students who have brought honour to the school and have represented the whole school community with pride.”

 Winners: Dylan McCormack  (1) & Hazel Cawley (3)

 

Arts / Music & Culture- Boy & Girl – Awards x 2

 “This award is presented to the students who have displayed a cultural awareness and an interest in music and the arts. These pupils have used their talents for the benefit of the school and others. They have achieved a high level of excellence in their chosen discipline and an awareness of the arts visual, perceptual and in performance.”

 Winners: Emmet O Brien (5) & Kadence McCarthy (2)

 

Social Awareness – Awards

 “This award is presented to the students who have displayed an awareness of those in society whose needs are perhaps greater than ours. This social awareness is evident in their charitable works and projects. The winners of this award have shown an understanding of issues local, national and global, and have displayed initiative in responding to these issues.”

 Winners: Aine Corrigan Forde (2nd)  / Jack Duff (5th / Mariea Tobin(2nd)

 

STEM Award – Awards x 2

 “This award is presented to the students who have excelled throughout the year in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.”

 Winners: Denis Rohan (3rd) / Chloe Griffin (3rd)

 

Endeavour Award x 4

 “This award is presented to the student from years 1/2/3/5 who have worked to achieve their potential throughout the year. This award recognises students who have contributed to the life of the school whilst working towards this goal”.

Outstanding Achievement / Spirit of Nenagh College Award. – Boy & Girl – Awards x 2

 “This award is presented to the students who have displayed the characteristics which we strive to see in our students. These students are an example to others in the manner with which they contribute to the many different aspects of school life in Nenagh College”.
