A huge thank you to Tipperary ETB who granted our student, Katie Forde, a substantial scholarship towards a Gaeltacht course during the summer.
During the summer holidays, Katie attended a course at Coláisí Chorca Dhuibhne in Dingle, Co.Kerry. Katie got the chance to immerse herself in the Irish language and culture. She participated in classes and a wide range of activities entirely through the medium of Irish. This was a wonderful opportunity which allowed Katie to make fantastic progress in Irish while having fun and making new friends.
Katie shared:
‘At first I was nervous, but by the end, I could have real conversations in Irish. I loved learning songs, dances and traditions and the céilí’s every night were so much fun. I would recommend this opportunity to any and every other student, it helped me grow as a person and improve my Irish massively.’
This Language Scholarship is offered by Tipperary ETB to students in Nenagh College who are studying Irish.
