#schoolsgoorange
Nenagh College went orange today.
School’s across Ireland joined in Cycle Against Suicide’s national campaign to spread the message ‘It’s OK not to feel OK; and it’s absolutely OK to ask for help.’
Today’s events in Nenagh College included balloons, face-painting, ribbons, clothes, lollipops, buns, drinks, random acts of kindness cards and positive posts. All in the colour orange of course.
Today’s events were organised by the 1st year Amber Flag committee. Thanks to all the students and staff who got involved.
First and Second Year Students in Nenagh College are participating in a nationwide challenge to make Gaeilge fun and practical with the use of digital technology. They have 30 Irish challenges to complete in 50 hours. They are all busy bees enjoying the tasks getting both family, community and school involved. Sár iarracht ó chuile iomaitheoir.
Nenagh College second year art and C.S.P.E students visited the Animal Welfare Center in Kilfinane Co. Limerick where they donated their art and some pet food. Each student was given the opportunity to interact with rescued animals at the center. Thank you to all the volunteers who facilitated the tour. Students learned about the dedicated work done in this center, as well as some of the shocking circumstances these animals experienced before being rescued. This highlights the importance of our responsibilities when caring for animals.
Nenagh College would like to inform students and parents that the information evening ‘Don’t Be Mean Behind the Screen’ which had been scheduled for this evening is cancelled owing to the sudden and unexpected death of Paula O’Connor’s brother-in-law. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
