Irish Science Teachers Association Photo Competition on the Theme of Sustainability.
Science Students from 1st – 5th years entered the above competition on the theme of Sustainability and students were allowed to interpret the theme however they wished. There were a large number of entries from each year.
Examples of entries include ‘How can I help save Plants and Trees’ entered by Mya Reddan, and ‘Growing your own Fruit and Vegetables’ entered by Filip Wiewiora, both 1st Year students.
Nenagh College Transition Year students receive Choose Safety – Young People at Work Certificates.
Nenagh College Transition Year students (September – December 2022) successfully completed a ‘Healthy & Safety Authority Choose Safety – Young People at Work Programme’.
The programme introduces senior cycle students to the principles of Workplace Safety and Health.
Each student received an individual Certificate of Completion in recognition of his/her increased understanding of Health and Safety at Work. Certificates were issued by Kilkenny Education Centre. Well done to all.
Our first year boys played in the Collins Cup competition against Coláiste Iósaef Community College Killmallock.

5th Year Childcare Students
5th Year Childcare students took part in a 24 hour activity where they were asked to care for “Flour Babies” during school and at home. During this time students were prompted throughout the school day to care for their baby’s needs, which included feeding, changing nappies and settling a fussy baby. At home student had a prescribed list of tasks to care for the babies. Well done to all students and staff involved, it was a very enjoyable activity for all.
