Erasmus + Programme for Nenagh College of Further Education

Nenagh College of Further Education is a newly approved partner in the EU-funded Erasmus+ Programme. The purpose of the Erasmus+ is to provide opportunities for students to study, train, gain work experience or volunteer abroad.
In the coming academic year 10 students from Nenagh College of Further Education will take part on a two-week international work placement in Malaga, Spain in May 2021. These work placements will be pre-arranged through a network of contacts with Spanish enterprises in a wide variety of areas. All work placements are EU funded which contribute to the cost of flights, accommodation, and day-to-day living expenses while on work placement.
The aim of the Erasmus+ Programme is to improve employability by giving students an international experience and to create an environment where students are confident participating in an open Europe. Erasmus+ opportunities will be very beneficial to students as they gain valuable experience in terms of learning a new language and technical skills but also in terms of personal growth and development. It will also enhance the student’s CV and help them to secure future employment both at home and abroad. Furthermore, the Erasmus+ Programme can be particularly beneficial for those students looking to study European languages at higher level.

Recipe of the Day

Today’s dish comes from Lukasz Kudrewicz in 1st year.
Lukasz makes this dish for his family. It is a very simple yet nutritious main meal. Risotto is also a great way of using up leftover foods e.g. meat or vegetables, just add them later in the cooking process.
Thanks for sharing your dish with us Lukasz.

1st Year Graphics

Some fantastic pixelated images created by 1st Year Graphics students. Some students chose to do it freehand while others used online resources to develop their skills. Their teacher, Ms. Powell, was very impressed with the unique designs and detail that went into these creations.

Recipe of the Day

Today’s Recipe comes from Sean Morrissey in 1st year.

Sean added great detail to his Banana Bread by putting walnuts on top. Walnuts contain Omega 3 Fats which are great to help the brain activity.

This is a great option as a snack for all ages as it contains a lot of essential nutrients.

Thanks Sean, for sharing your creation

French Bingo

Well done you our 1B students Daniel Tianhao & Maria Stratan who won prizes in French Bingo. Both students sent in a photo receiving their prizes and have made great efforts.
