Amber Committee Community Garden

The Amber Committee meet every week at lunch and we use this time to discuss issues relevant to the students lives. Being well and working to maintain mental health is our objective. We tease out concerns and relax in a quiet space in room 46B. Last Tuesday we decided to go on our annual walk, we went to Centra where we could buy a treat and then go and relax  in the Community Garden. Ms O Keeffe would like to thank the group for their attendance all year.

Safe Tractor Skills Course

Our Agricultural Science students completed the safe tractor skills course in glorious sunshine on Monday last. Tom Duffy from the Farm Relief Services Roscrea delievered the theory and practical aspects of tractor safety to the students on site at Nenagh College. Thanks to Sean Kinnane from Abbey Machinery for providing us with the tractor and tank for the students to practice their driving skills. This certified course was part funded by the school as it’s commitment to raising awareness among the students on farm safety.

Music Production with TY

Our TY Students recently took part in 2 Day Workshops with the Song School production company where they wrote, recorded and learned to mix their own songs.

All students had a brilliant time working in groups with the Song School Team, learning about all the elements of music production.

Sit back, put your head phones in and enjoy an eclectic mix of tunes on topics such as Summer, Farming, Heartbreak, Demons and the never ending debate of Pineapple on Pizza!!
