Nenagh College female Transition Year students enjoyed a Women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) event at Cork City Hall on Friday, 26th January, with their teachers, Ms. Kearney & Ms. Ni Chofaigh. Hosted by Dr. Pixie Mc Kenna, Nenagh College received special recognition for attendance from An Tánaiste, Simon Coveney and the Lord Mayor of Cork, Tony Fitzgerald.
IWish aspires to influence, encourage and motivate young secondary school female students to pursue careers in STEM. The event combined talks and interaction with female role models and included interactive exhibitions where companies engaged directly with the students.
