Awards Evening 2022

Nenagh College celebrated its first Awards Evening on Monday 23rd May. After the hiatus caused by Covid 19, it was a very welcome return. An array of prizes in a wide variety of categories were presented by Declan Kinsella (Board of Management),Siobhan O Donovan (Parent Council), Jason Forde and guest John Johnston, who was returning to the school after his recent appointment by TETB as Principal in Clonmel. 
 
The prize categories reflected the diverse nature  the school and the collective and individual talents of the recipients. Students received recognition for Gaeilge and foreign languages through a TETB sponsored scholarship, Sports, Art, Culture, Social Awareness, a new ”Welcome” category to reflect the value of inclusion, endeavour awards and the 2021 TETB Awards in the categories of Best Result in Leaving Cert and Leaving Cert Applied, Sports and Personal Achievement. 
The final ward of the evening was, the newly inaugurated Tipperary Education and Training Board, Core Values Award. The recipients were  students whose participation in the school reflected these core values in everything they participated in. This award was given to Aine Corrigan Forde, Aisling Ryan and Molly Gillick.
