Girls Soccer Blitz

Nenagh College 1st Year girls soccer team welcomed St.Marys and their teachers for an indoor blitz. Both teams had wins and look forward to playing each other again soon.

Active School Challenge

As part of the Active School Challenge, Nenagh College was pleased to welcome the Marie Keating Foundation to present in our school. This Irish based charity is a key provider of cancer awareness and support programmes throughout Ireland. The Schools Cancer Awareness Programme aims to promote knowledge among students at post-primary level about various forms of cancer and to help them understand the importance of detecting cancer at an early stage. By making cancer ‘less frightening by enlightening’ for students, the programme endeavours to engage students with age-appropriate, interactive and informative material.

Mental Health Ireland’s Art & Photography Competition

Congratulations to second year student Nicola Kennedy whose entry into Mental Health Ireland’s Art & Photography Competition has been selected to appear in a week-long Exhibition in Dublin City Council. The Mind Your Mental Health Exhibition will take place from Monday 27th-Friday 31st March in Dublin County Council offices in Dublin.

 

Junior Eurovision 2017

Well done to first year 1B student Cailin Creamer who is through to the third round of Junior Eurovision 2017. Her task, to compose and perform her own song in Irish. Best of luck Cailin from all of the staff and students at Nenagh College

Scifest 2017

Nenagh College would like to congratulation all of our Second Year Science students who took part in Nenagh College Scifest 2017. There was a wide variety of projects on display including ‘How Strong is an Egg? How do we Taste? and How Safe is your Lipstick?’ We would also like to thank the teachers in our science department who organised and coordinated today’s event.

The aim of the Scifest programme is to encourage a love of science, technology and maths through active, collaborative, inquiry-based learning and to provide a forum for students at local, regional and national level to present and display their scientific investigations.

Nenagh College Work Experience Forum

We are hosting a Forum in Nenagh College on March 9th (Meal served @ 7.30 p.m.) for all local business people who provide our students with work experience opportunities. Rose Mary O Reilly from First Data will be our keynote speaker and the evening will allow First Data an opportunity to meet other business people in the Nenagh area. Nenagh College are providing office space and training facilities for First Data in advance of the opening of their Nenagh plant.
