Farm Safety Day

Congratulations to our Agricultural Science students Rory Grace, David Haverty and Eva Burke who took part in the Farm Safety Day organised over Easter on Padraig Morans farm at Coorevin Farm, Borrisokane. Their skills were tested on the New Tractor Simulator winning the top prize of a trip to Farmhand Machinery Dublin for their class.

Cycle Against Suicide

On Monday,  Cycle Against Suicide will be starting the next leg of their cycle from Nenagh College.

We would like to wish all cyclists the very best of luck on their journey around Ireland. We are looking forward to welcoming you.

Also just a reminder to students involved in performing music at the event to please bring in your instruments on Monday morning.

Ryan Gillick

Well done to first year student Ryan Gillick who traveled to Leixlip on Easter Saturday for the qualifiers of the Nationals. He had a great win over Tyrone score line of 15/2 15/6 and then had a difficult match against Bobby Brennan Kilkenny where Ryan was the overall winner 15/10 13/15 11/6. This was a fantastic day for Ryan who will now go on to play in the Nationals in a few weeks time. All at Nenagh College wish him the best of luck.

Easter Cake Competition

1st year Home Economics students took part in an Easter Cake decorating competition. They all put in great work and both Home Economics teachers were impressed with their decorating skills and creativity. The winners of the cake decorating were Molly Ryan and Kara Moroney Mitchell. Well done girls.

Futurewize

Nenagh College first year science students are taking part in a five-week science programme called ‘FUTUREWIZE’. The Futurewize programme aims to inspire students to discover rewarding career possibilities through STEM subjects like science, technology, engineering and maths. Well done to all our scientists who have been participating in this programme so far!!! This event was organised by Ms Kearney & Ms. Hannigan.

Hazel Cawley U16 Irish Girls Soccer Belgium

Congratulations to Hazel Cawley who has just returned from Belgium where she represented Ireland in the U16 Irish Girls Soccer team. They played 2 games against the Belgium side and drew both. Hazel played exceptionally well and greatly enjoyed her experience. With all of the hard work and hours of training, hopefully there will be many more opportunities for Hazel to play at this level and continue to proudly represent her country again.
