To start Maths Week 2025 in Nenagh College, students from 2nd, TY and 5th year competed in The Maggie Gough Competition. It is an online competition which tests the problem solving skills of Junior and Senior Cycle students. It is named after the first known Irish woman to receive a PhD in Mathematics – Maggie Gough. This competition is open to schools across Ireland and is organised by the Irish Mathematics Teachers’ Association. Well done to all the students who took part! #mathsweek #excellence
