Career Awareness Week kicked off ahead of schedule this year with an informative visit from SETU to both the 5th- and 6th-year classes. Jess Lawton outlined the wide range of courses offered across SETU’s Carlow and Waterford campuses, as well as the facilities, supports, and student opportunities available at each location.
This visit built on the momentum of earlier events this year, including the trip to the Careers Exhibition in Limerick earlier in the year and the 5th years’ attendance at the UL and TUS Open Day. These experiences provided students with a clearer understanding of the pathways open to them after school. It also helped students gain valuable insight into the dynamic and ever-evolving landscape of third-level education, encouraging them to begin thinking about their future goals and the options best suited to their interests.
