First Year students got matched up with senior cycle students from Transition Year and 5th Year as part of our Big Brother Big Sister initiative. This programme is all about giving 1st Years the support they need as they make the big leap from primary to secondary school. Plus, it’s a chance for both groups to boost their leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. The students will meet up once a week during their well being classes activities, including games, sports, arts and crafts, physical challenges, and skill-building sessions. It’s all about making connections, learning new things, and having a bit of fun together!
