Nenagh College held a very successful ‘Semaine Française’ this week with various events celebrating the French language and culture. The week began with a visit from a French Theatre group FTFS, who put on an excellent performance of the French play ‘Magnus Magnifique’ with the able assistance of a number of our own students! First Years’ knowledge of all aspects of French life was tested in the French Quiz which took place throughout the week with the final on Friday. Students’ creativity was unleashed in the French Poster competition where imagination and artistic talent were displayed to great effect. French cuisine was also celebrated with 3rd year students making and selling crepes in the canteen. The week finished with a fundraising Non-Uniform/ French Colours Day for staff and students. Overall, a varied programme ensured a heightened appreciation in the school of all things French. Bravo á tout le monde!
