First year student Ryan Gillick captain the Nenagh Warrior’s basketball team on Saturday in Limerick winning the North Munsters shield Ryan is pictured below with Coach Pasty Farrell …. Ryan and his team mates in Knigh United won the under 15 Division 1 league on Friday evening Ryan’s soccer coach is Trish O Shea that works in the school canteen all in all it was a great weekend of sports for Ryan.

Great news! Nenagh College is delighted to announce our aim to re-establish the Irish language Aonad (unit) for incoming first years in September 2019. It will be known  as “Gaelchloláiste an Aonaigh”.

5th Year Options Information Evening for Parents

Information evening for parents of students going into 5th year in September 2019.
Owing to a technical glitch, a message re: the above information, evening did not reach all our parents. The meeting has been rescheduled for Wednesday next 27th March @ 7.00 p.m. The meeting is for parents of our current TY class and those in 3rd year who are going into 5th year in September 2019.
For those students in third year who are intending to apply for TY in September 2019, there will be an information evening on Thursday next 28th March @ 7.00 p.m.

Millennium Cross

Well done to our 5LCA class who organised a 1st year walk to Millennium Cross on Tuesday afternoon. 350 euros was raised for Living Links, a local charity that helps bereaved families through suicide.

Smart Futures STEM Talk

3rd Year students and their teachers at Nenagh College enjoyed a Smart Futures STEM Talk, on Wednesday 13th, with Brian Mc Namara and Ciara O’Donovan from Johnson & Johnson Vision Care in Limerick. Brian and Ciara gave an overview of their own professional day to day activities in the company and a real life feel for what it is like to work in a STEM organisation. They also gave some very useful insights and guidance into possible careers for our students. Following the presentation, a lively discussion ensued.

Congratulations to Teachers Mr. Mc. Loughney and Mr. Gratton tournament winner and runner up and Ms. Powell and Olivia Imborowska – medal winners. Darragh O Brien of 6LCA was the overall student winner and Darragh Geaney of 6th year was the runner up.

 

6th Years PE Trip

This week some of our 6th Year Group took a well deserved break from the books! As part of the 6th Year PE Program the group participated in a Paintball Activity in Limerick. A great day was had by all in Basecamp Adventure Park. Well done to the 6th Year class for their energy and enthusiasm throughout the year in PE.
