Book Rental and Sales Evening

Parents have a second opportunity to purchase text books or pay for book rental (1st & 2nd years only) on Tuesday 23rd August from 5.00 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.

Books ordered and paid for on June 21st can be collected on this day also.

Parents will also have the opportunity to pay for the following on the evening of 23/08

  • Lockers €15 (€25 for first years, including deposit)
  • School Journal €10
  • Practical subjects material fees: 1st years €60, 2nd years €10 per practical subject and 5th years €20 per practical subject.
Practical subjects are defined as follows:
1st / 2nd year – Woodwork / Metalwork / Art / Home Economics
5th year – Construction Studies / Engineering / Art / Home Economics

LCA Trip to Galway

On Tuesday 31st May, our Nenagh College Leaving Cert Applied students and their two accompanying teachers Ms. Carey and Ms. Maharaj travelled to Salt Hill in Galway to enjoy a day of sun and sand. It was a fantastic experience had by all and a great way to end a year of hard work and dedication.

First Year School Tour 2016

On the 26th of May, all of the first years enjoyed an excellent day at Adventure World School Tours in the University of Limerick. They participated in activities such as canoeing and rafting, dash ‘n’ grab, last man standing, wrecking ball and many more activities. They had a brilliant day and really enjoyed themselves. They were accompanied by their class directors Ms. Egan, Ms. Carey, Mr. Cox and Ms. Heffernan

Munster Athletics Competition

On Saturday 21st May, 5 students from Nenagh College travelled to Waterford to compete in the Munster Schools Athletics Competition with their teachers Ms. O’Brien and Ms. Murphy. Brian Naughton, Calvin O’Rourke, Oscar Ottman, Jake Murphy and Joshua Delaney qualified after placing in their events at East Munster level.
Brian Naughton came 3rd in the intermediate boys hammer and Joshua Delaney came 1st in the junior boys discus.
These two students now qualify for the All-Ireland Schools Competition in Tullamore on Saturday 4th June.
All athletes gave a fantastic performance. Well done to these 5 students for reaching this stage. A great achievement.

6th Year Graduation Ceremony

Well done to our Leaving Cert class of 2016 on their Graduation Day. Graduation is the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. As you get ready to embark on your exciting next step, remember your time at Nenagh College. You will be missed. Good luck class of 2016.

HB Ice Cream Fun Day

Students and staff of Nenagh College raised €215 euro for Down Syndrome Ireland by hosting a HB Ice Cream Fun day.

Thanks to all for your support and hope you enjoyed the ice cream as we come closer to the end of another school year.
