End of an Era

Friday August 17th 2018 was a sad day for all members of the Nenagh College community with long serving secretary, Majella Kennedy, retiring after forty years in the school. Majella joined the staff in September 1978 and worked with eight different Principals during that time. Throughout that time Majella witnessed many changes perhaps none more significant than the completion of the new school in 2013 and the amalgamation of the two Tipperary VEC bodies into Tipperary ETB. Majella played a pivotal role in both these significant chapters in the school’s history and was the public face of the school for many years. Reflecting on her departure from the staff, current Principal, Damien Kennedy, paid tribute to Majella for her longevity of service to the school and to her enormous contribution to the school for so many years. Majella retires with the best wishes from all in Nenagh College and those of the generations who attended there throughout her time.
