Technology Week
This week we are running a Technology week at Nenagh College. We are hoping to raise awareness of the work that goes on in the Technology department and hopefully inspire the next generation of Engineers. We will be running workshops every day at lunch time. We would especailly like to welcome students who do not currently take the subjects to give them a feel for what goes on in the Technology department.
Enterprise Week
Jessica Whyte from Johnston and Johnston spoke to Ms O Keeffe’s first year business class on Wednesday 8th March, this was part of enterprise week, which is happening nationally.
Students engaged fully in a question and answer session and learned all about Jessica’s journey via the apprenticeship route to becoming an engineer in J&J. She also explained about the products produced by he company both in Ireland and abroad.

All-Ireland GAA Handball Under 21 Singles Title. Kilruane’s Rory Grace travelled to Kingscourt, Co. Cavan last weekend to compete in the 40×20 GAA Handball

AgriAware Event
5th and 6th Year Ag Science students enjoyed a great trip to the AgriAware event in Gurteen Ag College on Tuesday 7th March with their teachers Ms Hannigan & Ms Duffy. A tour of the working farm at Gurteen College was organised into 11 stations where the teaching staff of Gurteen College welcomed us and gave us a very informative talk on all aspects of Agriculture with great relevance to our Ag Science syllabus.
Edwina Knight Art Teacher exhibits in The Hunt Museum
Nenagh college art teacher Edwina knight is exhibiting a collection of her paintings based on her daily swims in Lough Derg in The Hunt Museum Café, Limerick. The paintings will be on show for the month of March and April .
