Well done to all of the staff and students at Nenagh College who took part in the ‘Drop Everything and Read Initiative’ which took place last week

 

Newport College is proud to announce that two of their 5th year students have been shortlisted at the Griffith College Enterprise competition for their Mathsopoly game. They will be 1 of 10 businesses nationally taking part. As part of the competition, 20% goes for marketing their business. Congratulations to Amal Johnson 5th Year Art Student who represented Nenagh College in Clonmel Museum on March 6th. ARTiculation encourages presentation techniques on a chosen subject. The passionate competent delivery from Amal was exceptional.

Carravaggios ‘Taking of Christ’ was the subject of Amals presentation where he was awarded 3rd place. Thank you to Julia Walsh Dronin, Ms Beirne Art Teacher, English teachers Ms D Mc Kenna and Ms R. Slattery for their support in this project a first for Nenagh College.

Well done to all of the staff and students at Nenagh College who participated in the Schools Go Orange event on Friday 8th March. All proceeds are in aid of Cycle Against Suicide

 

 

Planting bulbs with Big Brother Big Sister

Well done to our 1st and 2nd year girls soccer team who played Borrisokane today

Well done to our TY students on their trip to Croke Park and Google. Students were given a tour of Croke Park and they learned a lot about the history of it too. They also got to do the skyline tour. They then enjoyed a tour of Google Headquarters in the afternoon. A great day was had by all!!

Congratulations to our 5th year Art Student who came 3rd in the ARTiculation Tipperary Competition organised by Clonmel Museum.

Amal Johnson delivered a passionate, speech on the 16^th Century Caravaggio painting ‘Taking of Christ’ and was awarded third place.

We are very proud of this achievement as it is our first time participating in this Project.

Thank you to the Arts Education Officer Julia Walsh and Ms. Slattery (English Teacher) and Ms. Beirne (Art Teacher).

In aid of Cycle Against Suicide on Friday, students at Nenagh College are encouraged to wear Orange. Donations can be made on the day.
