Nenagh college students: Oisin Ryan, Dylan Ashman, Jack Kennedy and Aaron Cusack visited the Engineering the Future tent at the National Ploughing Championships . 

Shannon School of Hotel Management, a college of the University of Galway, met with senior cycle students this week. College visits into school offer an exposure to higher education, which are an important part of the student experience .They display one of many possibilities that await students when they finish the Leaving Certificate.

The 5th year Leaving Cert Applied  students took part in a discussion group in Steeples and visited the Castle as part of LCA induction and wellbeing in Nenagh College. 

Nenagh College has invested in Studyclix Plus access for all our students. Studyclix.ie is Ireland’s most popular study website and helps students revise using past exam questions, videos, notes, quizzes, flashcards and much more. All students have created their own account on Studyclix with their school email to use all the resources at no extra cost. This study portal is now available for the students to use at home too to support their learning.

Nenagh College’s Big Brother, Big Sister programme, pairs Transition and 5th year  mentors with 1st year mentees to build supportive friendships and boost student wellbeing.  Led by Ms. R. Maharaj , the programme strengthens social connections through team-building events and fun-filled activities.

On Sunday, September 8th, Kira competed with exceptional talent and skill to secure 1st place in 9 categories  and   2nd place in 1 category

Volleyball got off to a flying start this year! Ms Maharaj and Ms Ruiz run the extra curricular club on Thursdays at lunchtime & after school from 4-5pm. A great turn out from all years! A special thanks to our first years who made a great effort today!

Nenagh College’s mentoring program kicked off today with a fun and friendly meet-and-greet! First Year students got matched up with senior cycle students from Transition Year and 5th Year as part of our Big Brother Big Sister initiative. This programme is all about giving 1st Years the support they need as they make the big leap from primary to secondary school. Plus, it’s a chance for both groups to boost their leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. The students will meet up once a week during their well being classes activities, including games, sports, arts and crafts, physical challenges, and skill-building sessions. It’s all about making connections, learning new things, and having a bit of fun together!

Huge congrats to Nenagh Kickboxing Club on an incredible weekend at the World Championships in the UK! A special shout out to Oskar Wietrzyski for snagging three silver medals on his first big outing! Pictured below is Oskar with Mr. Gratton and Principal Mr. Kennedy.
