Intercultural Day 2022
Congratulations to our Social Studies group on hosting the most enjoyable Intercultural Day for 2022. The students went above and beyond to give every person that attended an unforgettable experience. From the beautiful food to the smallest of details, nothing was forgotten. A huge well done to the students for also raising funds for a very important cause – ‘Rape Crisis Midwest’ and thank you to those who donated.

Cross-Curricular: French Culture/Religion
Religion teacher Ms. Dillon very kindly visited French classes to tell students about the celebration of the feast of the Epiphany in France. The 6th January is the twelfth day of Christmas when the three wise men arrived with gifts for Jesus. It is a holiday in France and is celebrated with a ‘Galette des Rois’ , a French cake made with puff pastry. This cake usually contains a French figurine of a king and the person who finds it in their slice of cake is given a crown and will have good luck that year. Merci beaucoup to Ms. Dillon for sharing her knowledge and for bringing in a Galette des Rois for the students to sample. It was delicious!
