La semaine française/ French Week
La semaine française/ French Week was held in Nenagh College this week to celebrate the French language and culture. Events included a French Table Quiz, a Poster Competition on the theme of French-Speaking Countries, exploration of the world of French Cinema and the enjoyment of some French cuisine. Pictures show students participating in these events and the prize winners of the Table Quiz and Poster Competition. Bravo à tous!
March Closures
JCT Teacher in service-
Nenagh College will be closed on Thursday March 10th to facilitate Junior Cycle in-service for teachers.
Additional Bank Holiday 2022-
March 18th has been identified by Government as an additional bank holiday this year. As March 18th was already designated as a day of closure, as per our annual calendar (Circulated August 2021). Accordingly, the school will now be closed, to facilitate the taking of this extra national holiday, on Monday 21st March 2022.

Ukrainian Appeal
Two fifth year students, Aine Corrigan Forde and Aisling Ryan, are collecting a variety of goods for Ukrainian refugees.
Items requested are in the picture attached, and are also on posters throughout the school and the screen by Mr. O’Meara’s office.
The collection will take place from Thursday 3rd March to Wednesday 9th March.
Junior Cycle students can donate items at roll call.
Senior Cycle students can leave items in the sports hall.

Fundraiser for Mary’s Meals
Mary’s Meals is a Scottish charity, who provide life changing meals to some of the world’s poorest children. Children receive a meal each day they attend school. It costs €18.30 to feed a child for a year.
This year our 6th year Leaving Certificate Applied (LCA) students decided they wanted to be part of this global movement. They did this by having a bake sale in the school and they raised €85. They would like to thank Mr Kennedy and Ms Carey for their continued support.
Ms O Keeffe would like to thank all those who supported the bake sale, as every little effort can make a huge difference to whole communities across the world and help pave the way for lasting change.
